The SHARPAL 191H can sharpen a wide variety of knives, including household/kitchen straight-edge knives (chef, paring, peeling, utility, slicing, santoku) and outdoor/sporting straight-edge knives (pocket, hunting, fillet, tactical, fixed-blade), as well as serrated knives and scissors (except sewing scissors).

To use, simply press the black switch on the back to attach the sharpener firmly to a table, then insert the blade into the appropriate slot and pull from heel to tip, following the direction of the indicator arrows. For scissors, place the sharpener near the edge of the table, lean the beveled side of the blade against the carbide blade, and draw the scissors from hinge to tip.
