The SHARPAL 101N 6-In-1 Knife Sharpener & Survival Tool incorporates 6 functions into a portable, compact design. It features optimum durable sharpening abrasive material, a preset optimal sharpening angle, and a built-in lanyard hole, making it ideal for fishermen, hunters, campers, and hikers.

The multifunction tool includes tungsten carbide blades for quick edge setting, ceramic blades for fine honing, a fire starter, a high-pitched emergency whistle, and a tapered diamond rod (Medium 400 Grit) for sharpening serrations and gut hooks. The tool also has a groove in the diamond rod for sharpening fishhooks and pointed tools.

Sharpal's premium abrasive materials have been tested 10,000 times, with no break found in either the tungsten carbide or ceramic blades. Measuring 3-1/2 inches long and 1-2/5 inches wide, and weighing only 1.5 ounces, the tool is highly portable. Its soft, rubber-coated design provides a comfortable grip.

To use the two sharpening slots, the user should insert the blade fully and vertically into the appropriate slot at a 90-degree angle, then gently pull the knife blade from heel to tip in the direction of the indicator arrows, repeating the action until the blade is sharp. The tapered diamond rod should be placed against the cutting edge of the serration or gut hook, matching the grind angle, and then pushed through while applying moderate pressure and rolling the rod.

The fire starter requires the removal of the outer black coating to produce sparks when the fire stick is quickly pulled through the No. 1 carbide slot. The emergency whistle is activated by positioning the lips over the opening in the upper left of the product and blowing vigorously, without covering the air outlet on the top.
