The VIROBLOC locking mechanism keeps the knife safely closed in your pocket and locks the blade open during use.

Opinel uses Sandvik(R) 12C27 Modified stainless steel, which is well-known for its anti-corrosive properties and requires minimal upkeep. The carbon content of at least 0.40% provides an excellent cutting edge that is also easy to keep sharp.
